DXpedition to Namibia, March 2012
A group of amateurs including David GI4FUM, Gillian GI8MIV, Richard GI4DOH, Kalle DM3BJ, Andre V51B and others plan to operate in the CQ WPX SSB contest from Oranjemund in Namibia over the weekend of 24th/25th March. During the week prior to the contest they will operate on HF bands including CW and RTTY/PSK31. QSLs for this operation should go via David GI4FUM (QTHR).
The team will travel to Cape Town arriving on 14th March and will stay near the Victoria and Albert Waterfront. They plan to visit Table Mountain, Robin Island and the Stellenbosch wineries before driving up the west coast to Oranjemund at the southern tip of Namibia. There is still time to join the group but you need to be quick as we have to arrange Namibian Amateur Radio permits and entry permits to Oranjemund. We will return to Cape Town on 26th March and fly home on 28th March.
