GB0HI GB2HI Lindisfarne & Hilbre EU-120
Inviato: 12 maggio 2011, 21:04Ricky G0LZX Paul G0WRE and Kev M0TNX will activate Lindisfarne Island EU-120 on May 14th. The activation is to publicise the outstanding natural beauty of The Holy Island, and to allow amateurs worldwide the chance to claim this island for their IOTA awards. The team plan to be active on 40-20-17m, with the possibility of 15m also. SSB, data and if required, CW contacts will be available. The call for this event will be GB0HI. A special QSL card will be available.
The following weekend (May 20-23) sees Kev, M0TNX have the unique chance to activate Hilbre Island (again, EU-120 but the other side of the UK). A single man operation, the callsign for this event will be GB2HI. This event will be SSB, but Kev is happy to provide a CW contact if asked. Bands will be 40/20/17 only, again with a commemorative QSL card.
