With the publication this month of the new IOTA Directory a number of rule changes have come into force including the raising of the minimum QSO threshold from 200 to 1000 QSOs for first-time activated new IOTA groups and amendment of the handling of islands previously deleted following a deletion of a DXCC entity, allowing acceptance of old Penguin Islands and Red Sea Islands QSOs for AF-070 and AS-009 respectively. â– The following operations in April 2011 have provided acceptable validation and are therefore approved for IOTA credit: EG5CI ( EU-069 ), K6VVA/6 ( NA-184 ), P29VCX ( OC-101 ), P29VLR ( OC-231 ) and P29NI ( OC-257 ).
