TM95BV
Special Event Station for the 95th Anniversary of the Battle of Verdun
This year, we will commemorate the 95th Anniversary of the Battle of Verdun. This famous battle started on the 21th February 1916 into the "Bois de Caures", in the North East of Verdun, tooked end 300 days later, on the 18th December 1916, and led to 300 000 missing persons and deaths.
To honour them, the REF 55 will be on air all the year from the differents sites of the Battle with the special call TM95BV.
From the 21th February 2011, 06h30 Loc., TM95BV will call from the site "Bois de Caures", then at 2PM from the destroyed village of Beaumont.
On the 26th & 27th February, during the French Championships SSB, TM95BV will be QRV from the Fort of Troyon (DFCF 55029).
After every activity, the team will publish a report and some photos.
The most activity will be on HF SSB, but we will try to be QRV also on CW, Digital Modes, VHF.
