More than 10,000 people are expected to arrive at Scarborough’s south bay for the town’s third annual Armed Forces Day 2011.
There is a full programme of events, including an aeronautical display by the Battleof BritainMemorial Flight LancasterBomber, and the Blades acrobatic team, who are all ex-Red Arrows pilots. There are also displays of military vehicles, and a joint exercise at sea between the town’s adopted Warship HMS Explorer, lifeboat crews from Scarborough RNLI and a Sea King helicopter.
QSL cards will be sent via the Buro for all contacts. The route for anyone requiring a direct card is via the club call G0OOO.
