Weather- Extremely hot – had a thunder shower with heavy rain which was nice! We are all really happy and enjoying ourselves. Food – very good. Beer- ice cold! South Sudan people are very nice and glad to have us here. [July 23]

from Co-leader Tony EA5RM

We have two working yagis and verticals for 30 and 40m. Another yagi is ready and waiting until we finish with shack installation. People at the Hotel are cooperating with us. Later today the last beam will be installed. The 6 meter yagi will be raised tomorrow and last antenna will be 80 meters and this will be done tomorrow or next day. [July 23]

UPDATE

David, K3LP arrived here on July 31st and today he went back home. He was helping us during these three days. Thank you David!

Krassy, K1LZ arrived Juba yesterday and he will be working mainly on the low bands until August 10th sunrise. QRM and QRN levels are over 599+10 and our daily storms do not help with static noise, however 60 QSO were logged yesterday on Top Band.

Next Friday JH4RHF, RG8K and RA9USU will be going back home so we’ll do our best to keep at least 4 stations on the air during the weekend.
