KC0VEU/VY0 Ellesmere Island NA-008 22/6-5/7/2012
Inviato: 22 giugno 2012, 11:16Rob, KC0VEU will again be /VY0 in Eureka , Ellesmere Island , Nunavut , Canada ( IOTA NA-008 , grid loc EQ79ax ) from June 22 – July 05 on official business.
Sometime during his stay, and weather permitting, he will attempt to operate from the PEARL facility 15km away, which is located at 80°N, 86°25′W and therefore in the rare ER grid ( ER60 ) for those who chase the CQ Grid Fields award, and the rare ITU Zone 75.
PEARL ( the Polar Environment Atmospheric Research Laboratory ) is also a separate base for the Arctic Challenge. This is Rob’s fifth time on Ellesmere.
KC0VEU recently passed his Extra class exam and is expecting a new call sign in the AD0 block, but will still sign /VY0
