- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has three main areas of responsibility: Safety and Security; Science and Technology; and Safeguards and Verification. http://www.iaea.org;
- The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) holds a special place in the United Nations system as it is the only organization promoting the creation of wealth and tackling poverty alleviation through manufacturing. The Organization focuses on three inter-related thematic priorities: Poverty Reduction through Productive Activities, Trade Capacity-Building, and Energy and Environment http://www.unido.org
- The Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO): One of the key pillars of the Non Proliferation Treaty which bans any nuclear-weapon test explosion or any other nuclear explosion anywhere in the world. CTBTO operates the International Monitoring System (IMS) required by the Treaty. The latter, a worldwide network of 321 monitoring stations, uses four different technologies- seismic, radionuclide, hydroacoustic and infrasound- to collect data in order to detect and identify the occurrence of nuclear explosions. http://www.ctbto.org
- The United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) Established on 1 January 1980 as the third United Nations Headquarters after New York and Geneva (followed by Nairobi). It performs representation and liaison functions with permanent missions to the United Nations (Vienna), the host Government and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations in Vienna. http://www.unov.org
