Tom, KC0W ( ex ZD7X , XU7XXX ) will be active from the extreme northern tip of Haiti as HH5/KC0W between July 6-26, 2013. He states:

UPDATE — Tom mentions the local QRM, due to faulty power transformers, is a constant S9+++. He’s doing the best he can to work through the noise. Tom’s also having very high SWR issues with the 80/160 meter antennas. Furthermore, his Elecraft amplifier was destroyed in transit so now he’s running 100 watts from a K3. Tune to 50.110 if the band opens. (6m is being checked hourly.)

UPDATE - Tropical Storm Chantal is due to pass directly over Haiti within the next 24 hours. Expect Tom to take down all antennas and go QRT until the storm is over.
