The Chorley and District Amateur Radio Society are running special event callsign GB1LCT from Leyland, Lancashire, England (WAB SD52). The station is being run as a tribute to the men and women who built the Centurion tanks in the old Leyland motors factory from the 1940's through to the early 1950's. The tank is mounted on a plinth at the entrance to Leyland and the operators will be alongside the tank, so operations are very weather dependant. The call is on the air from 6-31 of October.
