In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the International Telecommunication Union, the Irish Radio Transmitters Society (IRTS) has been issued special callsign EI150ITU for use by amateur stations in Ireland throughout 2015. QSL via EI6AL.

On 17 May 2015 ITU will be celebrating 150 years since the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention and the creation of the International Telegraph Union with the special call EI150ITU. For a century and a half since 1865, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has been at the center of advances in communication from telegraphy through to the modern world of satellites, mobile phones and the Internet. To recognise the contribution the ITU has made to communications in general and in particular to Amateur Radio the Irish Radio Transmitters Society has been issued this special call for use by amateur stations in Ireland throughout 2015.
