Wartime in The Vale is held every June at Ashdown Camp just south of Evesham in The Countryside of Worcestershire WR11 7EL. This Has now become one of the Largest Military Vehicle and Re-enactment Shows in England with Thousands of Visitors attending. The Communications support Team which operate the Control point situated at the Entrance to the Display Arena are this year 2015 providing a Demonstration Special Event Amateur Radio Station GB4WIV with support from the Team -G8EPR G8SAR G6CUQ G7SBA and other Visiting Amateurs to the site. Operation will take place from June 15th onwards and on the 2 Show open days June 20th-21st , It takes the previous week plus for the senior organisors of the Show (Amy Paul Bob and David M. of Ashdown Camp who host the Show.) sponsered by MVT and Cherished Vehicle Insurance. They have to prepare the large field layout for 300 to 400 plus military and historic vehicles and to prepare the arena/ re- enactment/vehicle displays .Whilst us Radio Hams sit at the control point site watching? But ready to provide radio communication and any assistance as directed by the Organisors Team above.
