CB0ZA CB0ZEW Juan Fernandez Island

The DXpedition to Robinson Island (SA-005), Juan Fernandez is set for 10-24 February. Three callsigns will be used:

* CB0ZA operated by the 7-member on-island team
* CB0ZEW operated remotely
* CB0ZEW operated only during the ARRL DX CW Contest

"Barring any unforeseen difficulties", the team anticipates arrival at their primary accommodation on 10 February in the local afternoon. They plan to get the remote station on the air as soon as possible. About fifty operators from around the world have signed up to operate CW or FT8 while the on-island team is busy the next couple of days setting up the stations on the mountain above within the National Park. Once the two mountain top operating camps are established, the RIB will be taken up on top as well and added to the stations there.
The DXpedition will enable Club Log's Live Stream.
FT8: the CB0ZEW remote station will be running WSJT-X F/H mode; the CB0ZA on-island stations will be running MSHV multi-stream.
6 metres: plans call for 6m EME using Q65A; if the terrestrial propagation opens, the station will QSY to 50300 or 50313 kHz and use FT8.
Nathan, K4NHW will serve as the CB0ZA DXpedition Pilot. Inquiries (non-QSO and non-QSL related) or comments should be sent to cb0za[@]k4nhw.com. See https://cb0za.com/ for the band plan, more information and updates, which will also be posted to Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/100093132288335).
QSLs via Club Log's OQRS, or via N2OO; full upload to LoTW after six months.
