the A.R.I club of domodossola decided to celebrate that man and his epic adventure with a special call and qsl (the one above is just a preview).
a short story:
100 years ago, in 1910 Jorge Antonio Chà ¡vez Dartnell, well known as Geo Chavez, a peruvian fly-men, took off in Brig (ch) with his Blèriot XI and started his flight. he flew above the Simplon pass and came down in the italian valleys.
unfortunately at landing the airplane collapsed and the pilot came out badly injured, and died a few days later.
