Io non rischio: the fifth edition of the campaign kicks off
17 ottobre 2015
On the website of the campaign the updated list of the squares
After the success of yesterday’s #tweetstorm, that brought the hashtag #iononrischio2015 at the 4th place of the Italian trending topics on Twitter, today we take on the streets.
On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, some 4,000 volunteers will be present in over 400 squares across the Italian territory to make their fellow citizens aware on seismic, tsunami and flood risks.
Due to the bad weather of the past few days, that caused heavy inconveniences on the territory and therefore required the presence of volunteers for civil protection activities linked to the ongoing emergency, some squares have been annulled such as, for example, Benevento, Civitella Roveto (AQ) and Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (ME). The updated list of the squares is available on our website and the informative materials with rules of behaviour on flood, tsunami and earthquake risks can be downloaded.
The Head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabrizio Curcio, this morning will meet the volunteers at the stand “Io non rischio” in Olbia set up in the Galleria Auchan of Marinedda, and the will move to Calabria, in Isola di Capo Rizzuto. In the afternoon, the Head of Department will visit the stand set up in Foligno, in piazza della Repubblica and then will go in piazza Saffi in Forlì and, at last, in piazza Strozzi in Florence to visit the stand dedicated to flood risk.
On Sunday morning, Fabrizio Curcio will be in Piazza San Carlo in Turin, then will go to Gorizia, in the gardens of Corso Verdi, to meet the volunteers of the stand dedicated to earthquake and tsuami risks. In the morning he will visit the stand of Via VIII Febbraio in Padova and then Fiumicino in piazza Bozzetto.
Io non rischio is promoted by the Department of Civil Protection with Anpas- National Association of Public Assistance, Ingv- National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology and Reluis - Laboratories University Network of seismic engineering. Among the scientific partners there are, among the others, Ispra- Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, Ogs- National Institute of Oceanography and Geophysics, AiPo- Interregional Agency for Po river, Arpa Emilia-Romagna, Authority of Basin of Arno river, CamiLab- University of Calabria, Cima Foundation and Irpi- Institute of research for hydro-geological research.
