We should like to express our sincere condolences to Bernie McClenny, W3UR, Editor of The Daily DX, on the passing of his father Tony (N3ME), who lost his battle with cancer on 25 August at 70 years of age.
Tony was a DXCC Honor Roll member with 350 entities confirmed including North Korea, and served more than nine years as mayor of Bethany Beach (Delaware).
Astronaut and Space Shuttle veteran Steven Nagel (N5RAW) passed away on 21 August. He was 67. He flew on four Shuttle missions, and in April 1991 he was the commander of the first all-ham Space Shuttle crew aboard Atlantis (with KB5AWP, N5QWL, N5RAX and N5SCW) during the Shuttle Amateur Radio Experiment programme, the forerunner to ARISS.
