Neville Cheadle, G3NUG made Honorary Life Member of CDXC: The UK DX Foundation.

At its 2015 AGM and Summer Social, Neville Cheadle, G3NUG stood down as President and was made an Honorary Life Member of the Club. In his address, Chairman, Chris Duckling, G3SVL said that no one person has contributed more to the Club over as many years as Neville has done and that this was a fitting reward for that effort.

Neville joined the Committee in 1993, becoming Chairman in 1994 – a position he held for seven years whereupon he was elected President. He has been the President for the past 14 years. Neville was inducted into the CQ DX Hall of Fame in 2009 and is also the President of the Five Star DX’ers Association.

In his response, Neville said that he had thoroughly enjoyed helping the club grow from its early beginnings through to what is now probably the largest membership DX Foundation in the World. He wished it well and said that he was delighted to receive the honour and would put the engraved Brandy Glass and voucher for David Austin roses to good use.

CDXC members share a common interest in HF DX and contesting, drawn together by their shared values of high standards of operating and DXing skills. CDXC has become one of the largest and most respected DX groups in the world. CDXC now has over 960 members of whom around 20% are outside of the UK.
