DK1II SILENT KEY

Franz Nieberding, DK1II (DA0I) passed away on 8 October 2015. Licenced since 1966, he was primarily a CW operator - but enjoyed SSB and RTTY as well - with a focus on DXing and contesting. He was the organizer and team leader of the 7O1YGF DXpedition to Yemen (2000), and participated in the 5A7A (Lybia 2006), ZL8X (Kermadec 2010) and T32C (Kiritimati/Christmas Island 2011) DXpeditions. Other DX activities include YJ0AII (2004), ZL7II (2004) and 3D2II (2010).
