David, ZS8Z (ZS1BCE) uploaded his last QSO to Club Log on 19 November 2017, and has been off the air from Marion Island since then.
According to the South African Sunday Times, the 20-people science mission on the island "is stranded with an 'unstable' team member, a faulty generator and a critical food shortage". Reportedly an Indian relief ship is on the way with food and fuel, but David is unlikely to get back on the air before departing Marion in May.
