The IARU Region 1 Executive Committee will meet for its annual meeting on 2 and 3 May 2014 in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel Azores. While waiting for the rest of the team to arrive, participants already there, made a tour around the beautiful island. The tour was concluded with a visit to well know contest station CR2X. Important topics on the full agenda are preparations for the IARU Region 1 General Conference, to be held in September and the defense of amateur spectrum.
