Former Vice President of the Radio Amateur Society of Thailand Ray Gerrard, HS0ZDZ (G3NOM) passed away on 20 May, aged 75. He had only partially recovered from a heart attack that he had suffered in November 2004. Ray became actively involved in the activities of RAST shortly after his arrival in Thailand on a work assignment around 1990. He also operated as 9M2OM and participated in several DXpeditions, including XZ0A in 2000 (Thahtay Kyun, AS-144), E29AL in 2001 (Koh Tarutao, AS-126) and XW1HS in 2002.
