EF00 tornado
On June 21 our home was ground zero for an EF00 tornado (80 MPH sustained winds at the international standard 10 meter measurement height). The wind speed at the top of this destroyed 200 foot AB-105 tower was at least 105 MPH. The failure was apparently caused the guy wires imparting vertical forces on the tower legs exceeding their column load capacity. Plans are underway to install a new 200 foot "heavy duty AB-105" replacement tower during August.
