The second Island Radio Expedition Foundation's (IREF) "IOTA DXpeditioner of the Year" Award was presented on the Ham Nation podcast on 27 May. The three awardees are Mikhail Zavarukhin VE7ACN (1st place), Vasily V. Pinchuk R7AL (2nd) and Vladimir P. Angeli RK8A (3rd). The award is for encouraging "expeditioners, through friendly competition, to activate islands that won't necessarily meet IREF funding guidelines but are needed by many of the newer chasers".
