Bernhard "Ben" Buettner, DL6RAI (P44X) lost his life on 18 May in a tragic accident while doing maintenance at his QTH in Aruba. He was working on one of the contest station's towers when it unexpectedly buckled,
and Ben, "who was attached with a safety belt, was left hanging in the air.
They cut the cables and brought him to the ground and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Police and ambulance were called out but in vain.
