SILENT KEY
Rosel Zenker, DL3KWR passed away on 15 January. A skilled CW operator, she was first licensed in 1975 as DM2AEA, later Y21EA (1980-1991) and finally DL3KWR. In fifty years, she made 232,000 QSOs, participated in 945 contests, and operated under 70 callsigns from 22 different countries.
Along with her husband Hardy (DL3KWF), she was regularly active from Madeira. For over 30 years she sorted and distributed the incoming and outgoing QSL cards for DARC's OV Greifswald. In 2023, she was awarded the DARC Silver Badge of Honour in recognition of her services to amateur radio in Germany.
