Ham Radio Cook Islands Mini Hamfest News Video 28 Sept 2015
Inviato: 15 ottobre 2015, 14:00On September 28th, one of the largest gatherings of Amateur (Ham) Radio Operators took place on Rarotonga with all five "local" Hams and seven visiting Hams in attendance. Three of the visitors were on their way to Manihiki Atoll to "activate" that rare island in the North Cooks group, one Aussie ham was here to be the first to "activate" a summit on Raro by climbing Te Kou and operating from the summit, a Kiwi ham was here on holiday and two other US Hams were here "DXing" -- that is, operating to "collect" or contact as many different countries as they could.
