4U1UN United Nations Club Station back on the air. August 22
4U1UN United Nations Club Station is back in the building and back on the air. Thanks to the persistent efforts of Adrian KO8SCA, James K2QI, Dima RA9USU, the United Nations Amateur Radio Club, and others this DXCC entity is no longer just a beacon, or having to operate HF from ground level. Now there is a SteppIR BigIR antenna forty-eight floors up and a remote station on the third floor. The station has an Elecraft K3 and an amplifier. The amp will be used once operation with it passes UN inspection. The BigIR can work 10m -40m now. Antennas for other bands will be added later. I was pleased to be the first station to work them and welcome them back onto the airwaves. 4U1UN will be on the air regularly once again. 73 de Steve N2AJ.
