80M Beam Installation at KH6YY

October 25, 2017: Reinstalling the re-built 80m beam at KH6YY. It's not possible to get a crane up the road to the station, so a helicopter is used to raise the antenna up to the top of the tower. This is the helicopter view, shot with a GoPro mounted inside the cockpit glass pointed down.

October 25, 2017: Reinstalling the re-built 80M beam at KH6YY using a helicopter to raise the antenna to the top of the tower. I did my best to keep my phone camera stable while zooming in on the top of the tower while the crew (K7NV/K7PN) received the antenna from the helicopter. Things got a little sketchy due to some swirling winds coming up Waimea Valley and the antenna wanted to tip, requiring some straps to hold it into position before they could release the hook. In the end, it was a successful evolution.
