A Message From Hamvention® 2013 General Chairman Charles Kaiser, KD8JZR
It’s my belief that every amateur radio operator in the world probably dreams about making it to the Dayton Hamvention at least once in their lifetime. Possibly nowhere on earth can one experience first-hand the incredible diversity and worldwide reach of amateur radio as during this event. From the hundreds of exhibits featuring the latest equipment and technology, to booths sponsored by national and international organizations, the incredible variety of items brought to the extensive flea market, or just the chance to meet in person a friend first met on the air, it is truly an incredible event and offers something for everyone.
As the general chairman for Hamvention 2013, I’d like to take this opportunity to offer a special early invitation for you to attend this year’s event to be held May 17-19 2013, and assure you that many of the nearly 400 volunteers involved in supporting the annual gathering are already hard at to work to make this yet another outstanding event sponsored by the Dayton Amateur Radio Association (DARA.) And whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, I hope to see you there!
