In Spain, the authorisation for radio operation in the range from 2400.050 to 2410 MHz has been extended by one year. It is now valid until 26 December 2023.
The previous authorisation expired on 26 December 2022. The Spanish amateur radio association URE had previously asked the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures for an extension of the administrative authorisation.
The permit allows operation in the 2400.050 to 2410 MHz range, enabling radio amateurs in Spanish territory to make QSOs via the geostationary satellite QO-100. The maximum EIRP permitted is 1500 W. According to the authorisation, directional antennas used must have at least 21.5 dBi.
The authorisation of the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures has been made available by the URE on its website: https://www.ure.es/download/?wpdmdl=1483546.
