October 19, 2013 an International Space Station school contact has been planned with participants at Istituto Comprensivo, Marzocchino Di Seravezza and Comprensivo Camaiore 3, Camaiore, Italy. The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 15:55 UTC, which is 17:55 CEST.
The contact will be a direct between IRØISS and IQ5VR. The downlink signal will be audible in Europe on 145.800MHz FM.
The event will be webcast live on https://www.livestream.com/amsat_italia
The Comprehensive School "Camaiore" 3, with a school population of about 900 students, is located in the town of "Camaiore", and consists of "Capezzano" Childhood, Primary and Middle school, "Vado" Childhood and Primary school, "Frati" Primary school and "Santa Lucia" Childhood. The territory of Camaiore is delimited by the Apuan mountains and the sea, an environment in the foothill slopes towards the Versilia coast. The schools of the Comprehensive Institute serve the population of the central area, characterized by a large plane and some fraction on the first hills.
The radio contact is expected to be conducted in Italian. Participants, aged 13-14, will ask as many of the following questions as time allows:
