New Technical Requirements in Bulgaria

Today, January 18th, New Technical Requirements 1121 has been published from Bulgarian Ministry of Communication.

Thanks to the great commitment of BFRA now Bulgarian Amateurs have obtained some important changes :

- Removed the age limit for the acquisition of Class 2 license (VHF and UHF with a power of not more than 5 watts, and HF from a club radio station).

- Established 14 years old as age limit to obtain Class A license (All bands with full legal power)

- Removed the mandatory 6-month period between the Class 2 and Class 1 exams.

- Significant increase in the power allowed in most bands : Max output power is now 1000 Watt (in stationary mode) and 1500 Watt allowed when participating in international contests.

And other minor changes.
