Eddie, VK4AN/3D2A will be in Fiji prior to these dates and will arrive at Nauru either 2 or 7 November which will give him a chance to begin setting up some of the equipment. It is possible that he will be on the air in a limited manner prior to the official launch date.

We expect to have 6 operators and 3 stations active on all bands 160-6m, CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK31. Will participate in the CQ WW DX Contest as a M/M or M/2 entry. QSLing will be handled by the Pacific DXers. QSL’s provided by VK4FW Print. The Pacific DXers DXpedition Kit will be used, plus additional equipment provided by operators. No ‘spot’ frequencies will be published. Watch the DX reflectors for our QRG’s.

C21AA Nauru Dxpedition

Members of Pacific DXers are pleased to announce that 6 operators will be active from Nauru with 3 complete stations on HF as well as a dedicated 6m station. Confirmed team so far: NJ7N , NL8F , VK4AN , VK4FW…2 more tbc.

Nauru is currently ranked at 44 on the world wide wanted list, 31 in most of EU and 19 on the wanted digital mode list. We fully intend to operate on SSB , CW, RTTY and PSK31. We will be on all bands 160m thru to 6m.

For logistical reasons, all equipment will be taken on same flight as ‘excess baggage’.

QSL’s will be managed by Pacific DXers, with the task going to Bill, VK4FW. Qsling is available three ways….. direct , bureau or on-line with Paypal ‘postage’ support. Go to http://www.vk4fw.com/oqrs.php to request your QSL for that method.

Whilst each individual operator is responsible for their own personal expenses including air flights, accommodations, food etc…we are seeking support to help offset other costs, such as the large excess baggage charge, hotel room just for the radio equipment, QSL printing, QSL postage for Bureau cards, phone calls associated with planning, purchase of consumables and, most important of all… the donation of some equipment to native Nauruan hams!

A special Paypal account has been set up for support – just add your callsign/name and any comments in the ‘comment/message’ box. All donors will be listed on the web site http://c21.pacific-dxers.com/ , which is under construction.

A special memento will be sent to donors who support us with $50 or more. These donors will be listed on the QSL card. Organizations that provide support will have their logo and link placed on the web page as well as their logo on the QSL Card [unless anonymity preferred].

Prior to operating from Nauru two of the team will operate from Fiji. VK4AN as 3D2A and VK4FW as 3D2T, including an entry in the CQ WW DX
Contest.
