Earlier today – after travelling via Ellesmere island NA-008 - VY0/RK0BWW/P was apparently active for a few hours from the super rare IOTA Axel Heiberg Island NA-043.

You can follow progress here (http://www.yemelya.ru/map2013.php?lnk=2013), but in short, RK0BWW is travelling with an expedition to Resolute Bay, Cornwallis island NA-009.

It’s unknown if NA-043 will be activated again as the group travel south. ETA Resolute Bay: May 9-10, 2013.

UPDATE: VY0/RW0BWW/P is today active from Devon Island NA-009. It was also reported, via net controller RO9O, that an expedition vehicle had fallen into the water.
