DQ40AIX 40 years of ham friendship between radio amateurs

The call sign DQ40AIX is a special call sign to commemorate 40 years of ham friendship between radio amateurs of the city of Tübingen, Southern Germany and Aix-en-Provence, France: Both cities, since 1960, join a sister city friendship. Also radio amateurs from both cities, for 40 years every Sunday, keep contacts via SW. They have visited each other several times. The 1st contacts were 1975, when I, together with my family, was on the camping site of Aix-en-Provence. The founder members are René Caramel, F6DBR; Emile, F8EV; Willy, F1AW (all silent key) and Ulrich Bihlmayer, DJ9KR. You will find me with my French friends every Sunday at 11.00 local time on 7166 kHz +/- QRM in SSB. Please listen for our French conversation. For DOK-Hunters: Connected with the Call "DQ40AIX" is a Special DOK number ("Sonder DOK"). It is "TÜBAIX" for "TÜBingen-AIX". The call DQ40AIX together with the special DOK number is valid until 31 December 2015.
