VK0WN Casey Station QSO with VK5MRD 20m, Yaesu FTDX3000 - Hexbeam, 15/5/2022
It was a nice surprise today when Warren VK0WN at Casey Station in Antartica called me. I was calling CQ Europe via the Long Path when he called me. After swinging my beam towards Casey Station, Antartica Warren really came up in signal strength to me. I look forward to working him many times in the future. An interesting effect on his audio caused by auroral disturbances. I was using a Yaesu FTDX3000 at 100w PEP into an Australian made Hexbeam at 10m above the ground.
